The need this addresses
School breaks reduce coverage options for working families, and many mainstream break programs are not equipped for a child who needs more structure or support than a typical group setting provides.
School Break & Group Day Camps are open to any family who needs coverage during a break — this isn't limited to families managing a disability. At the same time, every staff member is trained to support children with complex behavioral, developmental, or intellectual needs, so families who haven't found the right fit at a mainstream camp are welcome here too.
What a day includes
School Break Day Camps give youth a full day to get out, explore the community, and experience something different from the usual school-break routine. Small groups spend the day participating in supervised activities, local outings, and hands-on experiences. Depending on the day, youth may explore local parks and trails, spend time near the water, visit community spaces, or take part in a planned field trip.
Everyday experiences during a camp day become opportunities to build confidence and practical life skills: navigating new environments, making choices, communicating with peers, trying new activities, and participating in the community. Each day is planned with structure, supervision, and age-appropriate activities, while leaving room for open-ended time.
Programming is full-day, with no overnight stays.
